Broadband Fiber Installation (BFI)
Learn moreUnderstand the benefits of working with fiber to the premises (FTTP/FTTx) networks to service cable customers. Learners will explore passive optical networks (PON), differentiate them from an hybrid fiber coax (HFC) and Fiber Deep access network and recognize the equipment needed to support fiber networks. Participants will also learn about preparing fiber, splicing, working with multiple wavelengths, key optical measurements and troubleshooting.
