Where technical talent rises to the challenge
The SCTE Broadband Championship

What It Is
The SCTE Broadband Championship, formerly known as the Cable-Tec Games, is a competition where industry experts compete to showcase their technical skills, demonstrate their expertise and represent their company and chapter through various technical Challenges.
It’s not just a contest — it’s a celebration of technical skill, dedication and expertise in our industry.

How it Works
Competitors begin their journey at their local SCTE chapter by participating in a Broadband Skills Challenge, which features multiple competition categories including cable splicing, meter reading, OTDR and more. Winners from these local events advance to the international stage, joining fellow champions at SCTE TechExpo to compete in the SCTE Broadband Championship for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. In addition to these top honors, the Rookie of the Year medal is presented to the competitor with the highest overall score among first-time participants, recognizing and celebrating emerging talent in the industry.
Championship winners receive not only top honors but also industry-wide recognition through media coverage, along with a certificate of participation.
