SCTE Spirit of the Games Award
Presented annually, the Spirit of the Games Award honors a participant, volunteer, staff member or host vendor who exemplifies exceptional sportsmanship and embraces the learning environment at the games. Established in memory of David Jones, this award reflects his enduring commitment to the spirit of the SCTE Broadband Skills Challenge.

Nominate an Individual
This award is to identify and recognize a participant, staff member or host vendor who truly embraces and exhibits sportsmanship, and the learning environment at the Broadband Skills. Recipients will be formally recognized at the Broadband Championship at SCTE TechExpo, in SCTE Interval and on the website.
Eligibility: Any participant, staff member, host vendor or individual that has taken an active role in the Broadband Skills in the past year.
Selection Criteria – The Recipients will be selected based on:
- Sportsmanship
- Active commitment to the Broadband Skills
- Whether they embrace the learning environment of the event
- If they work with other chapters and organizations
- Being an innovator in developing programs, policy and processes to benefit the chapter
