FAQs
SCTE offers a range of industry-focused events—from monthly technical sessions and Vendor Days at local chapters to its flagship annual conference, SCTE TechExpo (formerly Cable‑Tec Expo). These events are centered on knowledge exchange, skill development and leadership advancement in the broadband industry.
SCTE events vary in terms of attendee eligibility. For example, SCTE TechExpo is open to the public (recommended for those with an interest in the broadband industry), while the Chapter Leadership Conferencee is limited to SCTE chapter leaders. Details regarding attendance and registration are managed through each event’s dedicated website or webpage, which can be accessed via the main SCTE events page.
By joining SCTE events, you gain access to the latest industry knowledge, hands-on skills, vendor innovations, competitive challenges and networking in your local chapter—and at TechExpo on a national stage. Whether you’re technical staff, leader or executive, there’s something for everyone.
Chapters organize hundreds of hours of educational sessions annually, ranging from cutting-edge technical topics to hands-on equipment training. Many sessions are recorded and shared online through the SCTE Event Calendar for expanded access.
Vendor Days, hosted by local chapters, showcase the latest technology through product demos. Broadband Skills Challenges are competitions that test both practical cable skills and knowledge—winners may advance to international levels at SCTE TechExpo. Details are available via the Event Calendar.
