SCTE® has launched its first microcredential in fiber blowing along with a new Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) course series, both developed under the guidance of its new, industry-led Education Advisory Council. These offerings respond directly to workforce needs by establishing a trusted, standards-based way to validate fiber installation skills and strengthen proactive troubleshooting capabilities. Designed in collaboration with operators, contractors and subject matter experts, the programs reflect real-world requirements and provide a consistent benchmark for job-ready performance.
Together, the microcredential and modular PNM courses reinforce SCTE’s role as the industry’s independent authority for training and standards. Built on established SCTE standards and shaped through broad industry collaboration, they help operators improve network reliability, reduce service disruptions and prepare technicians for evolving broadband demands.
