An SCTE Regional Chapters Representative helps support and connect local SCTE chapters within a region. Representatives encourage member engagement, promote SCTE programs and resources, and help strengthen communication and collaboration across the broadband industry community.

Nominate an Individual

SCTE is seeking engaged, committed leaders to serve as Regional Representatives. Regional Representatives play a critical role in supporting chapters, representing member needs and strengthening alignment between the regions and Society leadership.

This form is used for both elected terms and appointments to fill mid-term vacancies, depending on regional needs and timing.

Eligibility

To be eligible, nominees must:

  • Be an SCTE member in good standing for a minimum of three (3) years
  • Submit a biography/experience summary
  • Receive manager approval confirming employer support for fulfilling the responsibilities of the role

Role Overview & Expectations

  • Serving as ex officio members of chapter boards within the region
  • Promoting SCTE technical training and programs
  • Leading or supporting quarterly regional calls with chapter leadership
  • Visiting each chapter in the region at least once during the term (virtually or in person)
  • Supporting chapter compliance, engagement and coordination
  • Sharing regional updates with SCTE HQ and identifying chapters needing support
  • Acting as ambassadors for SCTE at the regional and local level
  • STRONGLY ENCOURAGED: Attendance at the SCTE Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC), including the annual Regional Representative meeting. Travel and related expenses are the responsibility of the Regional Representative and are not reimbursed by SCTE or chapters.
