Increasing The Return
Wednesday, October 21, 2:00 PM Eastern
For the past decade the Cable TV Industry has been going about the task of increasing throughput capabilities to maintain a competitive edge against the completion. These type of tasks included expanding forward path bandwidth to 1 GHz, improving DOCSIS technology such as DOCSIS 2.0 and then DOCSIS 3.0 that provided a substantial increase in throughput capabilities while maintaining the basic HFC Return Path split as the status quo i.e. 40 MHz or 42 MHz in the North America and 65 MHz return path split designs in Europe and much of the remaining Cable TV world.
