Technological advances are constantly changing the way the cable industry offers and maintains services that delight our customers. Some recent examples are DOCSIS® 3.1, the Internet of Things, fixed-mobile convergence, network functions virtualization, proactive network maintenance, test automations, blockchain security, and data analytics.
The SCTE Innovators Award annually recognizes a company that has introduced a service or product that embraces a technological advance and profoundly improves or expands service offerings to our customers.
As video service delivery evolves in the streaming era, our industry is recognizing that the sharing of login credentials could potentially cost pay-TV providers billions of dollars in lost revenue. Synamedia has been a leading force in using artificial intelligence to tackle this problem – its Credentials Sharing Insight solution applies behavioral analytics and machine learning models to detect sharers and to classify sharing patterns, helping our industry tackle what’s been estimated to be a 10 billion dollar problem.
