Earn College Credits Through SCTE - Fort Hays University
Take select SCTE courses and earn college credits toward a Certificate in Internetworking, an Associate Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree. SCTE has partnered with Fort Hays State University (FHSU) to award college credits toward degree programs. These qualified SCTE courses are available online or onsite—offering convenience and flexibility for cable professionals.
*Final approval of transfer credits must be made by FHSU. For questions concerning credit transfer and credit hours for courses completed at other institutions, contact Dr. Melissa Hunsicker Walburn or Stacey Braun.

How to Redeem SCTE Courses for FHSU College Credits:
Step 1: Choose the certificate or degree program that you are interested in from the list above.
Step 2: Select the SCTE Training Courses from the chart that may be applied toward your certificate or degree. Register through SCTE and successfully complete those courses. Select SCTE Courses
Step 3: Earn your college credits. Apply online for admission to FHSU. Send your SCTE course certificates, CCNA certificate and any other official transcripts from previously attended institutions to:FHSU Office of the Registrar, 600 Park Street, Hays, KS 67601.
Step 4: Complete additional courses needed for your degree. After receiving your acceptance letter from FHSU, follow the step-by-step instructions to set up your FHSU TigerTracks account, then login and enroll in the FHSU online courses needed to meet your selected degree requirements.

Receive Financial Assistance through the SCTE Foundation
The SCTE Foundation provides grants and scholarships to assist SCTE members in their continual pursuit of knowledge, training and professional development in the cable telecommunications industry, and will consider grant requests consistent with its Mission Statement. All active SCTE members are eligible for SCTE grants and scholarships. The allocation of funds is based upon career goals, availability of alternative financial assistance and supporting recommendations from the applicant’s references. It is determined by the SCTE Grants or Major Grants Subcommittee, and is dependent on the amount of the funds requested.
