To accommodate increasing speed tiers and customer offerings, operators must expand their plant capacity to 1.8 GHz Extended Spectrum DOCSIS (FDD) and DOCSIS 4.0. Passives play a critical role in these plant upgrades.As the highest quantity device in the outside plant, passives limit the usable bandwidth and will take the most time and energy to replace. This presentation will focus on options and opportunities that exist for operators as they look to expand their bandwidth.
