LiveLearning: Converged Headend

August 19, 2015

Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) products are rapidly replacing the traditional EQAM and CMTS legacy products, allowing operators to converge the different types of services such as HSD, VoIP, IPTV, and legacy video all on the same RF port. CCAP products also support the higher density of Single Carrier (SC) QAMs, as well as the new DOCSIS 3.1 specification.

For cable operators, migration to a converged headend architecture, and the introduction of CCAP and DOCSIS 3.1 capabilities into the network, require preparation and planning. In addition, your network may need to use some tools and technologies defined by the industry specs to implement.

In this LiveLearning webinar we reviewed the benefits of CCAP products and DOCSIS 3.1 technologies, and discussed the migration processes and supporting tools.
