The Broadband Premises Installation – Customer Service course provides the customer service best practices for a broadband professional. The learner is introduced to subjects including maintaining the company image through professionalism, time management, and managing stress. The course also covers partnering with the customer and working in challenging situations.
The Broadband Premises Installation – Customer Service course is part of the Broadband Premises Installation and Service interactive learning journey. BPI covers the knowledge required to install, maintain and troubleshoot triple-play services (video, voice, and data) for cable telecommunications customers. This interactive course includes delivering positive customer service, RF theory, troubleshooting, test equipment, common measurements, and service restoration related to industry-wide standards and practices. The course also provides instruction in the latest technologies, such as MoCA, home networking, Wi-Fi, and untethered devices. The learning journey is comprised of three courses:

Self-paced interactive Online Course: Learners start the SCTE·ISBE VirtuLearn® course at any time, study at their own pace, and have access to dynamic online content after they register. On average, learners will spend approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete the course activities. SCTE provides access to the course for 1 year from the date of purchase.
System Requirements: A high speed Internet (HSI) connection, Internet browser with HTML 5 support. For tablet or smartphone access, HTML 5 may be used for online eBook content.
Instructor-Led Onsite Boot Camp Course: The SCTE SBE VirtuLearn® course may be delivered as an onsite boot camp over 1/2 day.

Upon completion of all three parts of the Broadband Premises Installation (BPI) and Service Learning Journey, learners will be prepared to earn the nationally recognized SCTE Broadband Premises Installer (BPI) certification. The certification is designed for individuals interested in working in the cable telecommunications industry for a cable provider, contractor, or vendor.
