The SCTE Rocky Mountain and Glacier Teton Chapters are

members intended to provide an educational, fun and social way to participate
within the local SCTE Chapter!

SCTE Seminar - Troubleshooting Upstream Impairments-ECHO,
HPMT, Group Delay. How to identify
upstream impairments using DOCSIS-based reporting and alarming tools to
localize to a neighborhood or node location.
For when these types of impairments are intermittent in nature we’ll
discuss when and how Techs can pick up their meters and leverage advanced tools
to go further and identify and often correct the Plant and Premises impairments
(audience engagement is required to share best practices from other successful
technicians). Use of these tools will be
Node Health Report and associated DOCSIS Tools.
• Quiver -
PNM US radar to identify CPD and calculate distance to nonlinear distortion
SLM - RF Levels, Health and DOCSIS diagnostics.
• Seeker D -
RF Leakage meter to identify location of physical impairment and potentially
location of the ingress point.
- reverse path signal analysis to identify the presence of ingress, impulse
noise and distortions.
