Activities

  • Quiz – Chapter 3

Module 04 Wireless LAN Security

  • Describe the need for WLAN security
  • Compare wired security considerations to wireless concerns
  • Learn about wireless security protocols for authentication, which allows one to connect to an AP, and encryption, which protects the traffic being sent over a WLAN
  • Describe security mitigation technologies
  • Explore methods used to secure enterprise (“business”) WLANs, such as wireless Intrusion Prevention Systems (wIPS) and Base Intrusion Detection Systems (BIDS)
