SCTE Standards Program

The SCTE standards program provides an ANSI-accredited forum for the development of technical specifications supporting the cable telecommunications industry. The work program includes: data and telephony over cable; application platform development; digital video; emergency alert systems; network monitoring systems; cables, connectors and amplifiers; construction and maintenance practices; and Sustainability/energy efficiency.

The SCTE Project Register contains a complete list of SCTE projects, including historical documents, and their status. It also contains submission schedules for ANSI, and graphs showing submissions and actions by year. Questions on the program should be submitted to standards@scte.org.

SCTE is currently seeking to broaden the membership base in its ANSI-accredited standards program and is interested in new members in all membership categories to participate in new work in fiber-optics networks, advanced advertising, 3D television, and other important topics. Of particular interest is membership from the content (program and advertising) provider and user communities.
Membership in the SCTE Standards Program is open to all directly and materially affected parties as defined in SCTE's membership rules and operating procedures. More information is available here on this site or by emailing us at standards@scte.org. |
