The standards listed below have been approved by the SCTE Engineering Committee as SCTE standards. Some have additionally been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and are so designated.

SCTE also produces Recommended Practices, which provide guidance in particular areas of technology or operations for the cable telecommunications industry.  These documents are generally not available for free, and are sold through the SCTE bookstore.  Documents in this category include:
