SCTE IP Challenge

IP Challenge 2014Get ready to test your IP Knowledge!
The annual SCTE IP Challenge provides cable professionals an opportunity to showcase their IP knowledge by competing in a blended-style Jeopardy match that includes traditional questions, router and CMTS configuration, and hands-on activities. The SCTE IP Challenge consists of two online virtual qualifier matches and an in-person live final, during SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2014, which utilizes hands-on activities to bridge traditional RF to IP knowledge transfer.

From the customized online virtual qualifier match eight participants will be selected for the live, in-person finals during Cable-Tec Expo. These eight participants will receive a free pass to Cable-Tec Expo, where they will compete against one another as well as the defending 2013 IP Challenge Champion in the live IP Challenge final. Who will be crowned this year’s champion?

The 2014 SCTE IP Challenge is sponsored by   Cisco

Virtual Qualifier Matches-Registration is Open
ipchallengegamescreenshotTwo customized online Jeopardy qualifying matches will take place, kicking off in June and continuing in July, in which the eight highest scoring participants will be selected for the finals. Participants will answer 36 questions in six IP-related categories: Routing, Network Theory, CMTS DOCSIS®, Internet Protocol, Configuration, and Multimedia over IP through the online qualifier.

Qualifying for the event is open to all interested individuals, however only SCTE members employed by an MSO with the eight highest overall scores will be selected to participate in the live finals during Cable-Tec Expo, Sept. 22-25 in Denver, CO. Interested non-SCTE members can become an SCTE member for only $68 to be considered for the live SCTE IP Challenge final. Click here to join SCTE.

Participants are encouraged to participate in both matches to achieve the highest score. Each virtual qualifier match will be open for one week. Once each virtual qualifier match begins, you’ll need to act fast as bonus questions and flash challenges become available at random.
