SEMI will actively work towards its mission through the following programs and services:

1. SCTE Standards Program: The ANSI-accredited Standards program will work to develop standards on technology regarding energy consumption, reliability and physical/electrical attributes.
2. Industry Best Practices: SCTE will develop best practices documents on design, construction and operation of facilities and networks to achieve optimal reliability, as well as cost effective methods of energy reduction, including the application of alternative energy sources in communications and network applications.
3. Reference/E-Reference Materials: SCTE will develop technical reference documents and guides to help reduce outages and maintain service continuity.
4. SEMI Forums: SCTE will organize numerous forum events that allow industry professionals to share ideas and concepts that ensure they keep current on the latest solutions available.
5. Training Programs: SCTE will produce both online and on-site educational programs to train industry professionals on the best practices and state-of-the-art solutions available in the area of energy management.
6. Certification: SCTE will develop a skills/knowledge certification program for facility managers that focuses on both Power and Energy issues.
