Cable-Tec Games

Local Cable-Tec Games, typically held during chapter vendor shows or regional cable shows, provide an arena for contestants to compete in events that measure their technical abilities, such as cable splicing and meter reading, and demonstrate their knowledge, such as cable jeopardy. Each year, first-place winners of the local competitions are recognized for their achievements as they gather to compete on an international level during SCTE•ISBE Cable-Tec Expo®

International Cable-Tec Games
features the year's local winners competing against each other at SCTE•ISBE Cable-Tec Expo® for the international gold, silver, and bronze awards in seven categories: cable splicing, meter reading, cable jeopardy, OTDR, fiber splicing, drop connection and MTDR. Top winners place first, second and third overall.

Spirit of the Games Award - The Spirit of the Games Award is awarded yearly to a participant, staff member, or host vendor who truly embraces and exhibits sportsmanship and the learning environment at the games. The award is established in memory of David Jones, who had a very strong focus on the spirit of the SCTE•ISBE Cable-Tec Games.

Candidates for the "Spirit of the Games" award may be nominated, by completing the online nominations form, at any time during the Cable-Tec Games season. The winner will be announced at the International Cable-Tec Games, held in conjunction with SCTE•ISBE Expo.
